ERICA System Overview - ORIS - The University of Utah

ERICA (Electronic Research Integrity & Compliance Administration System) is the primary Conflict of Interest System and the Institution Reviewew Board System. As the IRB System, ERICA contains the IRB application and related review processes. All IRB submissions, correspondence, and review documentation are completed and maintained electronically throught ERICA. This has greatly benefited the IRB in improving compliance with federal regulation as well as decreasing review times. ERICA also includes many other components for committees ancillary to the IRB.

ERICA authenticates all users according to their role within the institution and Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). In order to log in, users must authenticate via the Univrsity of Utah's Single Sign-On system with Two Factor Authentication, by requiring a unique user ID and password. Users may view records and perform activities in ERICA based upon their authorized role.
